Pi Network has applied for trademark and service mark protection in the US:

The registration application date was January 20, 2023, the application was accepted and assigned to the appraiser to conduct verification.

In addition to registering trademark protection, Pi also registered trademarks for the following services:

(Class 009) Downloadable computer software for managing cryptocurrency transactions using blockchain technology.

(Class 036) Cryptocurrency mining and exchange services using blockchain technology.

(Class 042) Provides temporary use of non-downloadable computer software to manage cryptocurrency transactions using blockchain technology; Provides temporary use of non-downloadable computer software to create, manage, encrypt, expand, secure and modify computer networks in the cryptocurrency sector.

The registration authority has requested to correct the designation "Cryptocurrency Mining Services" which was incorrectly classified as International Class 036 instead of 042. Deadline for resubmission is the end of January 2024

Classification into Class 042 or 036 does not affect Pi Network's ability to provide financial services. This is only a legal requirement to register for trademark protection.

 The registration of Pi Network trademark protection in the US will definitely be approved in early 2024
